It is interesting to see this  work today more than 50 years after I made it. I am not sure why I kept it  as I remember not feeling it was very successful although now I do like it. I think the 50 years of dust contributes to my attraction. Of course for you scholars you will immediately make the connection  with Duchamp. Dust has shown up in my work several times and  I am particularly fond of the Dusty Shoes photographs in the Objects Waiting series.
