I provided the students with information and slides of my past work. From this they were to determine what my next piece would be. I was to then come to Ottawa from Winnipeg and fabricate it. Rather than determining something specific the students set up a situation for me to work in. Their restrictions implied that they had a collaborative work in mind. Once this was resolved the resulting piece became a collaborative effort, from conception to fabrication, between the students and myself.
