These two paintings were in the collection of Richard Prince. I imagine that I gave him the paintings. He returned the works to me some years ago. Richard and I were students together at UBC.  Richard is a very accomplished artist who went on the teach at UBC. We were part of a very loose group of students with artistic aspirations who were studying art history at UBC. It was a very exciting time as we were both supportive and competitive in producing and thinking about art. The group included: Richard, Dean Ellis, Stefan Brunhof, Michael Brodie, Nelson Yuen, Danny Ring and Jean Blodgett. Jean was a masters student and we would marry in 1973.
