Water is frozen in the plastic tray. Ice cube and plastic tray are then displayed in the fixture
The works Tool Loot, You Made It, Lithograph(y), The No Crap Option were all shown at the exhibition Artists Prints and Multiples at the Winnipeg Art Gallery. Like Tool Loot, You Made It has an interactive component. You, the participant, are given the means and presentation device to make a work. Taking the plastic tray, filling it with water and then putting the water filled tray in the freezer creates an ice cube or may I say print. Releasing the ice cube you install your ice print in the frame. There is a plexiglass tray that collects the melted water in the bottom of the frame.
I do enjoy how this piece unfolds over time, watching what you have made melt away.
