Not To Be Lost - 2009

Sculpture

Wooden frame, glass, birch tree branches

34” x 30” x 8”

Collection: artist, (add to cART)

I have taken to making souvenirs of larger pieces. Often these souvenirs were gifts to individuals who supported or participated in the production of the work.

Say When is a souvenir made about and after Peter Lynch and I maked the film A Short Film About Falling.

Not to be Lost is a memento constructed using broken twigs and branches from Waiting for the Tooth Fairy.

Overcome - the wall piece- takes many of the gray balls used in the video and houses them in a wall cabinet.

Why be Normal….is the burnt book from the photo series Was On - Wax Off.

There is even a site specific souvenir piece. A drawing of the frame on the back of the studio bathroom door. Oh yes, the coat hook is real.
